The Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) council voted 20-3 to sign the lease to give the Can-Am League the right to place a team there in 2015:
Skylands Park, former home of the Sussex Skyhawks (Can-Am League), was sold again this year to a new group of investors. No word exists yet on whether or not an independent baseball team or affiliated team will be placed there in the future:

Why wait a year in Ottawa when lease money can be made in 2014?? No one is playing in the stadium now, are they? And anything that needs to be straightened up for the 2014 season can be quickly done, or even done by the CanAm. Don’t they have a franchise ready to go? It could even start as a travel team at worse next season.
May depend on what is going on in the AA as well, with Wolfe in charge of both, and whether they have to go to another season of interleague play. I don’t understand all these silly delays. PLAY BALL already!
