There are several teams which are introducting new food and drink promotions designed to increase concessions revenues and/or attract new fans in the stands this year. Here are just two of many examples:

IndependentBaseball.net assumes that if you are reading this post (at least on the IndependentBaseball.net website) that you are more interested in the independent/affiliated minor league baseball industry than the average fan. The question is if your friends, who may not be as into minor league baseball as you are, will be motivated to take actions based on these promotions?
Many teams do these because they are easy to do, and the teams can promote them through their current channels. This does not mean that they will have the desired effect. Leave your thoughts on what type of promotions, attractions, on-field action situations, and other marketing would get your friends – who may be typical in that they do not follow the players and teams – to:
- Come out the ballpark for the first time in a long time
- Actually be unique enough so that your friends would have a reason to come back to more games than they had originally planned to do so for the 2010 independent baseball season
Thanks for your ideas.
