Here is a fun story to help promote independent minor league baseball: on June 17 the Rockford Riverhawks of the Northern League (formerly of the Frontier League) will face the National Pro Fastpitch women’s softball Chicago Bandits in an exhibition game. The Bandits feature 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist Jennie Finch.
