One of the major stories of the 2010 independent baseball season was Eri Yoshida, the female Japanese knuckleball pitcher who played with the Chico Outlaws of the Golden League. She first started in the 2010 Arizona Winter League before joining the Outlaws.
She is back in the AWL for its 2011 season, and she is currently on the Outlaws roster:
