ROCHESTER, Mich. – The USPBL powered by UWM released its 2023 schedule, announced by the league office on Friday. The 70-game schedule will run from May 19 through September 9 at Jimmy John’s Field in historic downtown Utica, Mich.
“I believe this is our best schedule yet,” said Owner and CEO Andy Appleby. “We always play during the best months of weather that Michigan has to offer, and when you combine that with our family friendly environment, the best promotions, and great baseball, it’s the most fun you’ll have during the summer.”
The defending USPBL champion Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers will face the Utica Unicorns on opening day, Friday, May 19, in a rematch of last year’s championship game. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
This year’s Home Run Derby and All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, July 8, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The popular Fireworks Spectacular will be back for 17 Friday nights, plus a Star Spangled Celebration Show on Sunday, July 2.
New to the schedule is a Championship Weekend starting on Thursday, September 7, with the Championship Game being played on Saturday night, September 8. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
“We are coming off a great season and looking forward to the 2023 season. Our staff is already preparing and will continue to provide the best entertainment for a great value in Metro Detroit,” said Appleby.
All games can be watched on the USPBL Network, streaming on Facebook and YouTube.
