USPBL Expands Team with Key New Hires

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The United Shore Professional Baseball League (USPBL powered by UWM) is excited to announce several new additions to its league front office staff. These key hires bring diverse skill sets and backgrounds that align with the USPBL’s commitment to excellence and growth.

Brock Appleby has been hired as the Director of Corporate Partnership Sales. Prior to the USPBL, Appleby worked with the Chicago Fire FC, where he generated over $180,000 in revenue and built lasting relationships with premium ticket holders. Appleby’s past experience includes working with the San Francisco 49ers, specializing in premium fan experiences. He earned his BS in Sport Management from the University of Missouri.

Keaton Cleland joins the USPBL as a Corporate Partnership Coordinator. Cleland previously worked as an Operations Assistant with the HNS Sports Group. He is a graduate of Northwood University, where he studied Sports Management and played golf. Cleland was awarded the Freedom Scholarship for his academic achievements.

Matt Love also joined as a Sales Account Representative. Love interned with the USPBL during the summer of 2024 at Jimmy John’s Field. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Sports from Siena Heights University, where he was also a baseball player.

Che’Trell Pratt has been appointed as the new Social Media Manager. Pratt oversees the creation and execution of all social media content. She also collaborates with various departments to enhance community engagement and amplify promotions and events. Pratt graduated from Oakland University with a B.A. in Communication and Media Studies and a minor in Psychology.

Kathleen Reid brings her years of experience to the USPBL as Director of Food & Beverage. Before joining the USPBL, Reid spent 12 years at the Royal Park Hotel as the Assistant Director of Catering. In addition to a background in sports with General Sports & Entertainment, Reid’s background is in catering and event management with the Marriott Corporation. She spent the first years of her professional career in California working for Marriott Hotels Resorts and Suites International in San Diego and Palm Springs. As Conventions Service Manager, she coordinated numerous conventions, meetings and trade shows. Among her career achievements, Reid served on the design team responsible for training over 1,500 employees in the Marriott’s Hospitality and Guest Response Program. Her role extended to the task force involved in the opening of new hotels and staff training. 

Belle Riesterer has joined the USPBL as a Sales Account Representative. Riesterer interned with the USPBL during the 2024 season at Jimmy John’s Field. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Riesterer earned her degree in Education specializing in Sports Management with a minor in Marketing. In her spare time, she also coaches gymnastics.

Aidan Scott has been hired as a Corporate Partnership Coordinator. Scott holds a Master of Management degree from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, following his undergraduate studies in Sport Management. He has experience as a consultant for Sevaro, an intern for Raymond James, and a project manager for Scott Quality Homes. Scott is passionate about the intersection of sports and business.

“We are thrilled to welcome such talented individuals to the USPBL,” said Dana Schmitt, President of the USPBL. “These new team members will help to further elevate our brand, strengthen relationships, and help drive the league’s continued success.”
