BOX SCORE AND GAME STATS By Adam Rickert Eastside Diamond Hoppers 6 AT Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers 13 UTICA — There was no shortage of offense at Jimmy John’s Field Thursday night as the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers used a seven-run seventh inning and five home runs to erase a 5-0 deficit and smash the Eastside Diamond Hoppers, 13-6. Trailing by five runs after three innings, the Beavers got on the board in the fourth with a two-run home run by second baseman DJ Gee. They continued to chip away at the deficit in the fifth as Miles Williams and Kevin Wirth popped back-to-back solo home runs. The Diamond Hoppers put another run on the board in the sixth on a Chris Power single, but Beavers first baseman Nic Wilson got it right back with his league-leading 13th dinger of the year. Birmingham-Bloomfield’s monstrous seventh inning kickstarted with a Ray Ortega RBI single. Then, Wilson was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to tie things up and Gee followed up with a two-run double to put the Beavers in the lead.
