BOX SCORE AND GAME STATS By Adam Rickert Eastside Diamond Hoppers 4 AT Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers 9 Thursday was just another day at the office for Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers first baseman Nic Wilson. Wilson, who came into Thursday’s contest against the Eastside Diamond Hoppers as the USPBL leader in home runs and RBIs, bolstered his already outstanding numbers by going 3-for-3 with two home runs and four RBIs. His four RBIs came on four different at-bats. He singled in a run in the first, hit solo home runs in the third and fifth and brought in an insurance run on an eighth-inning sacrifice fly. Wilson’s efforts led the Beavers to a 9-4 win over the Diamond Hoppers: their sixth win in their last eight contests. “We’ve got a very explosive, dynamic offense and we can score a lot of ways,” he said. “We don’t rely just on one person and that’s what makes him so tough. Wilson has shown that an injury that kept him out for a week did not slow down his torrid pace at the plate.
