BOX SCORE AND GAME STATS By Adam Rickert Utica Unicorns 8 AT East Side Diamond Hoppers 2 UTICA — For the second night in a row, Chris Cruz, Brandon Rawe and Austin Crutcher had banner games at the plate as they led their Utica Unicorns to a 8-2 victory over the Eastside Diamond Hoppers. The beginning of Friday night’s game was eerily similar to Thursday night’s Utica win over the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers. Once again, the Unicorns took a 3-0 first inning lead on a Brandon Rawe home run that scored leadoff hitter Ian Yetsko and second hitter Chris Cruz. “Same mentality as yesterday, I just tried to get out in front early,” said Rawe. “We knew Donny (Murray) was going to come out for us and pump strikes so we just wanted to get ahead early and that’s what happened.” Murray scattered six strikeouts over four and two-thirds innings for the Unicorns. Rawe picked up another RBI on a second-inning single that plated Ian Yetsko. He now has 12 hits, five home runs and 11 runs batted in in his past nine games, including three dingers in the past two nights. Rawe’s blast pulled him into a tie for third…
