Pennant Race and Intentional Walk May 28th Jimmy John’s Stadium, Utica Race Day Registration 8:30 am 5K Start (Timed Event) 10:00 am Kids ½ Mile Start 11:00 am Online Registration till May 26th https://register.eastsideracingcompany/register/?id=1109 Early Packet Pickup – Hanson’s Hall Rd Store 5/27 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm Participation Baseball Style Jersey, Finishing Medal, Prizes Benefitting Blessings in a Backpack – Utica Blessings in a Backpack Michigan is made possible through community partnerships. The North Woodward Community Foundation, Meijer stores and a committee of concerned citizens, partner with local school districts to expand this program. The program from the Michigan Advisory Board down to the local level is 100% volunteer. One day a week, volunteers fill qualifying students backpacks with non-perishable food items and distribute them on Fridays during the school year. On Mondays, the backpack is returned to be refilled for the following Friday. Each backpack contains food items for 6 weekend meals, such as tuna, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, pastas, oatmeal, fruit and granola bars, soup and fruit juices. There are roughly 8000 children who qualify to be supported by the Blessings in a Backpack— Utica program.
