Box Score | Photo Gallery UTICA, Mich. – Right-handed pitcher Cameron MacKenzie (1-2) threw 7.0 strong innings, striking out 11 and gave up one run, while Skylar Mercado hit a two-run home run to lead the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (6-8) to a 4-1 victory over the first place Eastside Diamond Hoppers (7-4) on Friday night at Jimmy John’s Field. The Beavers ended the Hoppers six-game winning streak. LHP Devin Alexander (1-2) worked 5.0 innings, allowing two earned runs and struck out five. Offensively, Josh McAdams led the way with a 3-for-4 performance, driving in the lone run for the Diamond Hoppers. Kevin Whatley finished 2-for-3 in the game.
