UTICA, Mich. – Elijah Celaya hit what would be the game winning home run in the top of the sixth inning, going 1-for-3 with two RBIs in game one of Saturday’s doubleheader as the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (2-4) rally back to beat the Eastside Diamond Hoppers (1-5), 3-2 at Jimmy John’s Field. Reigning USPBL Player of the Week Roy Verdejo finished the game 1-for-3. LHP Charles Dunavan picked up his first win of the season and RHP Cole Stanton earned the save pitching in the sixth innings, striking out one. The Diamond Hoppers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after Christian De Los Santos and Juan Lopez-Rios. Lopez-Rios finished the game 2-for-3.
