UTICA, Mich. – Many of the local media made their way out to Jimmy John’s Field in historic downtown Utica to take some swings on the field, and also meet the top prospects as the fourth season for the United Shore Professional Baseball League is getting ready to begin on Friday, May 10. Opening Day will feature the two-time defending champion Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers against the Eastside Diamond Hoppers at 7:05 p.m. on ESPN3. Chris Newell, Manager of the Beavers, on WXYZ-TV SportsCave with Justin Rose The Detroit News, Rising up!
