UTICA, Mich. – The Utica Unicorns (23-19) defeated the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (15-25), 3-2, with a late home run from Ethan Krizen on Saturday night at Jimmy John’s Field.
In addition to Krizen’s home run, teammate Marques Titialii hit a homer. Austin Ochoa ended the night with two hits and Andre Demetral had the other RBI for the Unicorns.
For the Beavers, Blake Bean had a home run and scored two runs. Matt Piotrowksi went 3-for-4 with one RBI and Joe Burke and Chase Rodriguez each notched one hit.
Logan Lee picked up his third win of the season, improving his record to 3-0 and Greg Loukinen got the loss, but currently sits in second with seven wins on the season.
