Rockers Preparing For Ducks This Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point Rockers are preparing for Duck season. As in Long Island Duck season. The defending Atlantic League North Division champions will visit Truist Point starting May 3 for a three-game set with the Rockers. Game time for all three games is set for 6:35 p.m. The gates to Truist Point will open at 6:00.
The Rockers are 7-3 in 2022, tying last year’s mark for the best 10-game start to a season. Long Island, led by manager Wally Backman, is 5-4 and comes to Truist Point after losing its last two games at Lexington on Saturday and Sunday.
High Point will send Justin Nicolino to the mound on Tuesday night. The lefthander is 1-0 with a 2.53 ERA and will be making his third start of the season.
