High Point, North Carolina Lumos – the region’s fastest 100% Fiber Optic Internet company – announced a partnership with the beloved High Point Rockers to offer free admittance to the Rockers’ last baseball game of the season in exchange for school supplies. In addition to giving attendees everything from purple glow sticks to a purple fireworks show, Lumos will also be contributing essential school supplies including notebooks and pencils in support of the community heading into the school season – and will give away free tickets for any game attendee who contributes school supplies as well.
“The new Lumos brand represents our focus on building a 100% fiber optic network from the ground up – one built for the next 50 years, not the last 50 – with the community in mind. We need to think about not only our generation but the generations to come – the future of our small businesses and, more importantly, the future of our families and youth,” said Brian Stading, Lumos CEO. “We are excited to connect the community with reliable, accessible,100% Fiber Optic Internet built for the future and look forward to showing our appreciation for High Point and the community who has supported us.”
Stading, who will throw out the first pitch at the September 15 game, is leading Lumos forward as it expands locally. Lumos has a mission to deliver uninterrupted, accessible, 100% Fiber Internet that not only handles today’s Internet needs but anticipates tomorrow’s. The company’s rapidly expanding 100% Fiber Optic Network already reaches more than 200,000 residential and business properties – and growing – across the North Carolina and Virginia area. Lumos expects to expand its fiber network by 2026, to reach an additional one million households comprised of nearly 20,000 miles of route fiber. With this expansion, Lumos is not only committed to being in the ground in their communities, but also on the ground – interacting, engaging, and supporting the community.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Lumos to close out a terrific season,” said Pete Fisch, President of the High Point Rockers. “We value brands and companies that see and support our community and community needs. We hope that this Back to School drive gives everyone an opportunity for celebration as we close out the summer and head into the school year, and look forward to fostering our relationship in the years to come.”
In addition to Lumos providing notebooks and supplies for any families in need, the brand will also be giving away free tickets for anyone who contributes school supplies on site to further our support for Back to School. All supplies will benefit local High Point elementary schools including Fairview Elementary, Kirkman Park Elementary, and Northwood Elementary.
