UTICA, Mich. – The Westside Woolly Mammoths (23-17) defeated the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (15-24) with two big late innings, 16-5, in front of a sold out crowd Friday night at Jimmy John’s Field.
For the Mammoths, Nick Pastore went 2-for-4 with two RBI with two runs scored, and Francis Florentino and Anthony Sharkas both had two hits and two RBI. Second baseman Dre Williams-Nelson ended his night going 3-for-5 with one RBI and crossed home plate once.
Offensively for the Beavers, Matt Piotrowski went 4-for-4 with two runs scored, while Ray Hilbrich had three hits, one RBI and scored once. Tyler Shinn had one hit, brining in two runs.
The Mammoths scored 16 runs on 15 hits and the Beavers scored their five off 11.
