UTICA, Mich. – Noah Marcoux singled in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring Whit Hughes to lead the Eastside Diamond Hoppers (20-16) over the Utica Unicorns (14-19), 2-1, in walk-off fashion on Friday at Jimmy John’s Field.
Marcoux finished the night 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Joe Burke, Anthony Flores and Hughes had the other hits for the Hoppers.
Patrick Baggett led the Unicorns at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run scored, while Lucas Goodin finished with one hit and drove in one run. RHP Andrew Huffman worked 4.2 innings for Utica, scattering two hits, struck out five and allowed one run.
