Y’ALLS BEAT MINERS IN 10 INNINGS, LAKE ERIE DEFEATS WASHINGTON FOR FIRST WIN OF SEASON

Saturday night saw another game end in extra innings, and a couple teams pick up their first win of the season. Here is a recap of all that went down: The Florence Y’alls came back and won in the tenth inning 5-4 against Southern Illinois. Luke Mangieri opened up the scoring in the third with a three-run homer to put Southern Illinois in front 3-0. Florence would battle right back and get two runs in the bottom half of the inning on a two-run home run by Harrison DiNicola. The score stayed 3-2 for a few innings until Jarrod Watkins delivered an RBI single in the sixth inning to make it 4-2 Miners. The Y’alls would again strike back and get two runs in the bottom half of that inning with a two-run home run off the bat of Trevor Craport tying the game at four. The game stayed tied…
