It was a busy opening day of the final weekend of the Frontier League regular season. Read more about all the action in our nightly recap: Équipe Québec and the Sussex County Miners were able to split a doubleheader. Québec shut out Sussex County 6-0 in game one. They opened the scoring with four runs in the second inning. Gift Ngoepe singled home the first run and L.P. Pelletier hit a three-run double. The only other scoring happened an inning later, when Ruben Castro singled a run home and later scored on a wild pitch. Codie Paiva tossed a complete game by working seven shutout innings and striking out six on just five hits and two walks in the win.
