WASHINGTON, PA – The Washington Wild Things (45-45) and the Windy City Thunderbolts (39-51) went head-to-head in the first game of a three game set starting Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Washington won the outing with a score of 3-0. RHP Chase Cunningham (7-9) was the winning pitcher for the Wild Things; during his 6.0 innings on the mound, Cunningham allowed three hits and struck out nine Thunderbolts. LHP Devon Davis (1-1) earned the save on the mound for Washington. RHP Kyle Von Ruden (1-6) was the losing pitcher for Windy City. Washington earned two runs in the fourth when Jimmy Yezzo and Grant Fink recorded RBIs. Austin Wobrock hit a home run in the fifth, giving Washington a 3-0 lead over the Thunderbolts.
