WILD THINGS ANNOUNCE 2017 SCHEDULE

Washington, PA – (October 3, 2016) The Washington Wild Things issued the 2017 baseball schedule Monday. The 98 game Frontier League schedule finds the Wild Things hosting 48 games in Washington, including nine weekend series and five Wednesday double headers. The Wild Things will start the season in Chicago when they face Windy City on Friday, May 12. Washington will host those same Windy City Thunderbolts at home the following Friday, May 19th for their home opener. “We’re pleased with the way our scheduled turned out this year,” said Steven Zavacky, General Manager. “When you look at the schedule you’ll see we have nine weekends, which are attractive to our fans. We’re home the weekends before and after the July 4th holiday, so people who are taking a full week will be able to come to the park and enjoy some great baseball.” The Wild Things will bring back many of the popular promotions including Thirsty Thursday, Fireworks Friday, Giveaway Saturday, and Kid’s Day Sunday. In addition, the Wild Things will institute a Throwback Thursday promotion when the team will look back at its 15 year history and don replica uniforms from 2002.
