Washington Wild Things outfielder Hector Roa and Lake Erie Crushers left-hander Jared Koenig win this week’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. These awards are chosen by Pointstreak, who is the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Roa has won his first Player of the Week award of 2019 after hitting .429, with two home runs and 12 RBI. He finished the week with a 1.162 OPS and 8.966 runs created. Roa has been on a hot streak, where he has hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games, and notched a hit in all 7 games this week. Roa also drove in three or more runs in three games this week.
