WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington Wild Things opened up a 7-0 lead in the first two innings of game two in the Frontier League Divisional Series against Florence, and, despite Florence outscoring Washington 9-3 over the final seven innings, the Wild Things held on to even the series at one game apiece as the series shifts to Florence, Kentucky. Washington, as mentioned, got off to a quick start. Designated hitter James Harris, for the fifth time in 48 games with the team, homered to lead off the ballgame. This came after a scoreless first from starter Chase Cunningham. Rashad Brown walked followed by a Bralin Jackson double that set up a Kane Sweeney ground out to score the second Washington run of the inning. It’d add another two later in the inning as Mike Hill singled home a run prior to a wild pitch plating a run. The Wild Things plated three in the second, taking a 7-0 lead after two, with the effort highlighted by a wild pitch scoring a run, a run-scoring single by Jackson and a fielder’s choice RBI from Sweeney.
