Friday night’s action was fueled by an impressive ten-run comeback and a home run derby victory. Read more about every game here: The Tri-City ValleyCats came back from an 11-3 deficit to beat the Sussex County Miners 13-12 after a nine-run seventh inning. Sussex County took a 4-0 advantage in the third inning, with Martin Figueroa hitting a two-run double, Juan Kelly hitting a sacrifice fly, and Kaleo Johnson doubling home a run as well. Tri-City’s Denis Phipps hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the third to make it 4-3. From there, Sussex County started to pull away. Figueroa doubled home two in the fourth, Chuck Taylor hit a two-run homer in the sixth, and the Miners scored three in the seventh courtesy of RBI singles by Nick Garland and Martin Figueroa.
