Traverse City Beach Bums Add Pitcher Seth Brenner

TRAVERSE CITY, MI – The Traverse City Beach Bums have signed left-handed pitcher, Seth Brenner, for the 2018 season. Brenner joins the Beach Bums after playing two seasons in the United Shore Professional Baseball League, winning two championships. In 2016, he had a 4-5 record and a 3.38 earned run average with the Utica Unicorns. In 53 and 1/3 innings, he allowed 22 walks while striking out 39. Last year, the Marietta, GA, native split the season between Utica and the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers. In 49 innings of work, he had a 2.57 ERA and a 3-3 record, striking out 49 while walking 25. Before embarking on his professional career, Brenner played collegiately at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. In two seasons pitching for the Tars, he was 7-7 with one save, and a 4.53 ERA. During his senior season, he held opposing batters to a team low .250 batting average, striking out 62 while walking just 22, in 72 innings. Previously, he played for the University of Central Florida’s club team, earning back-to-back regional berths, and they were two-time regional finalists. He attended Green Valley High School in Nevada before finishing his final two years at Dunedin High School…
