Join the Windy City ThunderBolts at the Ozinga Field parking lot on Wednesday, July 1st from 12 PM-6 PM for striking out blood shortages in our Healthcare Heroes Blood Drive, as we partner with Versiti Blood Centers and other Chicagoland baseball teams to support our patients in need. The drive is a tribute to the heroism, perseverance and passion for saving lives that healthcare workers have shown during the COVID-19 crisis. We are asking the community to pay tribute to these heroes by stepping up to the plate and donating lifesaving blood. There is no substitute to human blood donations and our blood supply is in URGENT NEED at this time. Appointments are highly encouraged to be made at this link (https://tinyurl.com/thunderboltsblooddrive) in advance of the blood drive, so Versiti can help with social distancing of the presenting donors throughout the drive.
