The Normal CornBelters Announce post-MLB Draft Workout on Saturday, June 9th

Normal, Illinois (June 1, 2018) – The Normal CornBelters have announced a post-MLB Draft workout will be held at The Corn Crib, presented by Illinois Corn Growers, in Normal. The workout will take place on Saturday, June 9th with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m. CT. Registration will take place outside the right-field/center-field gate (southeast corner of the ballpark) and will carry a fee of $75 per participant (cash or check only). Participants should arrive with their own equipment pertinent to their position. Please note that The Corn Crib does have an artificial turf surface so metal cleats are not allowed. Sunflower seeds and shelled nuts are also not allowed in the facility or on the playing surface. The current schedule of activities for the workout is as follow but is subject to change: 9:00 a.m. – Registration begins 10:00-10:30 – Stretch and 60-yard dash 10:30-11:00 – Position players throw to warm up arms, then all OF in RF will perform throws to 2B, 3B & Home. All 3B at 3B and all middle INF at SS – throws to 1B; all C behind the plate – pop times (throws to 2B, snap throws to 1B, throw downs to 3B) 11:00 – Pitchers…
