Sauget, IL – The Frontier League is proud to announce the 2018 Frontier League All Star Game managers and coaching staffs. The 2018 Experienced All Star Team will be led by Mike Pinto of the Southern Illinois Miners while Gregg Langbehn of the Washington Wild Things will manage the Rookie All Star Team. This comes after both managers’ teams clinched sole possession of first place at the All-Star Break. Mike Pinto is in his 12th season at the helm of the Southern Illinois Miners, after joining the team in the inaugural 2007 season. He currently sits alone as the winningest manager in Frontier League history. Pinto has also guided the Southern Illinois Miners to seven playoff appearances (2008, 2010, 2014-2016) and four division titles (2010,2014-2016). Under Pinto 49 Miners players have signed affiliated contracts with three making it to the Major Leagues. In addition, three former coaches have moved on to join Major League organizations. Before joining the Miners, Pinto spent two years as the manager of the Sioux Falls Canaries of the American Association.
