Slammers Round Out Roster with Three New Signs

Joliet, IL (February 16) – The Joliet Slammers announced the signings of right-hand pitcher Kenny Ogg, infielder Matt Burch, and outfielder Chris Baker.  Right-hand pitcher Kenny Ogg previously played for Ohio University and the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers. During the 2021 season, Kenny played for the Boise Hawks where he pitched 13 games, earning 16 strikeouts in 18 innings, and lead the team with .964 whip!Infielder Matt Burch signed and spent his 2021 season with the Chicago Cubs minor league affiliates. The original plan was to start the 2021 season at Myrtle Beach, and if everything went well, he could possibly rise to High-A South Bend, but during Spring Training, this infielder made the rare move of bypassing every other minor-league affiliate and was called up to fill Triple-A Iowa Cub’s roster and start his professional career.Outfielder Chris Baker, and Chicagoland native, joins the Slammers after an incredible start with Trinity Christian…
