Slammers Lose Game One

JOLIET, IL – Baseball kicked off at DuPage Medical Group Field as the Slammers took on the Windy City Thunderbolts. Tonight marks game one of three of the home stand. Joliet sent left hander Logan Lyle to the hill. Lyle has faced 26 batters while in a Slammers uniform and has a 5.53 ERA. The game was taken into extras as the score was tied at 3-3 at the end of the ninth. A one run difference would be the deciding factor of the game as the Slammers came up just short of the Thunderbolts 5-4. A slow start to the game wouldn’t see a score on the board until the Slammers chalked up their first run in the bottom of the fourth.
