A great night of Frontier League action Friday night, highlighted by Matt McGarry’s rare hitting performance. Read about that and all the other games here: The Schaumburg Boomers routed the Southern Illinois Miners 12-0 after Matt McGarry hit for the cycle. McGarry got the Boomers on the board with an RBI double in the first. Nick Ames homered in the fourth before McGarry tripled home two and scored on a wild pitch. Quincy Nieporte homered in both the fifth and seventh inning and Luke Becker plated one on a sacrifice fly in the fifth. Clint Hardy hit a two-run shot in the eighth and McGarry connected on a two-run homer, which completed the cycle. He singled in the third inning as well.
