Thursday’s highlights included a doubleheader with a pair of complete games on the mound, and a walk-off win. Catch up on all the league’s action here: The Schaumburg Boomers swept their doubleheader with the Gateway Grizzlies thanks to a pair of complete games by their starting pitchers. Game one finished 5-1. The Boomers got on the board in the second when Matt Bottcher singled home a run and Dusty Stroup hit a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0. The following inning, Quincy Nieporte hit an RBI single to make it 3-0. In the fourth, Ty Moore scored Gateway’s only run after an error by the catcher, and in the fifth, Matt McGarry hit a solo home run and Bottcher doubled home the fifth and final run for Schaumburg. Geoff Bramblett tossed the full seven innings and allowed zero earned runs, surrendering six hits and two walks while striking out four…
