SCHAUMBURG, IL — Aaron Rozek allowed just four hits in tossing a complete game shutout as the Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, opened Memorial Day weekend with a 3-0 victory over the Joliet Slammers. Rozek allowed just two runners to reach second base and did not hit 100 pitches in notching the fourth nine-inning complete game shutout in team history. The lefty did not walk a batter and struck out five. Rozek is the first pitcher in the Frontier League to toss a shutout this season. The Boomers provided all the support Rozek would need in the second inning with a pair of runs. Quincy Nieporte led off with a single and Nick Oddo followed with a double.
