RIVER CITY’S KAMERON ESTHAY AND EVANSVILLE’S RANDY WYNNE EARN OPENING WEEKEND AWARDS

River City Rascals’ outfielder Kameron Esthay and Evansville Otters’ starting pitcher Randy Wynne were named the Frontier League Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively as chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Kameron Esthay receives this years opening week’s honor after a strong opening to his and the Rascals season. Esthay hit safely in all four of River City’s games this weekend, with at least one extra base hit in every game as well. Leading the Rascals to a record of 3-1 this weekend, Esthay slashed .444/.474/.833. His weekend included one homerun, four doubles and 6 RBIs while going 8-18 against the Washington Wild Things. Kameron Esthay was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 26th Round in the 2017 armature draft out of Baylor.
