Sunday provided a thrilling finish to the week’s Frontier League action, with two extra-innings finishes, and a home run derby win as well. Read more about all of Sunday’s series finales here: The Evansville Otters took the lead with four runs in the fourth inning and held on for the 8-6 win and the series win over the Lake Erie Crushers. Both teams matched each other’s scoring over the first three frames. In the first inning, Trevor Achenbach grounded into a double play to bring home the Crushers’ first run. In the bottom half of the first, Andy DeJesus reached third and stole home to tie the game at 1-1, beating the tag after Paul Hall, Jr.’s pitch home.
