Despite two rainouts, there were still seven games and plenty of action to follow Wednesday night. Read more about the night in the Frontier League here: The Schaumburg Boomers completed their suspended game with the Gateway Grizzlies, winning 4-3 in what was scheduled to be the first game of a doubleheader. Before Tuesday’s rain, Gateway held a 2-1 lead thanks to an Andres Regnault RBI single in the first and a sacrifice fly by him in the top of the third. Schaumburg’s run came in the second on a sacrifice fly by Braxton Davidson. When the game resumed Wednesday, the Boomers quickly took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the third inning.
