TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – Corey Bass broke a tie in the top of the ninth inning to back up a complete game from Jake Fisher as the ThunderBolts defeated the Traverse City Beach Bums 4-2 at Wuerfel Park Saturday night. Fisher walked the first batter of the game on four pitches, his only walk of the game, and Will Kengor followed with a two-run homer to put Traverse City (18-25) ahead 2-0. Following his shaky first inning, though, Fisher allowed only two hits and faced one over the minimum the rest of the way. The ThunderBolts (24-20) cut their deficit in half in the top of the second as Riley Krane singled and moved to third on a Bass base hit. Krane scored on Ransom LaLonde’s groundout. Kyle Wood went deep with two outs in the third, his fourth home run of the year, tying the score 2-2. Neither team had a base runner in the middle innings and the Bolts did not threaten again until the ninth when they started a rally with two outs. Krane and Tim Zier each walked to put two on with two out in front of Bass, who picked up his first two RBIs…
