Normal, Ill. (Aug. 31, 2016)–One night after collecting four hits, backup second baseman Kolten Yamaguchi slammed his first two home runs of the season to lead the Evansville Otters (53-38) to an 8-3 win over Normal at the Corn Crib Wednesday night. Filling in for all-star Josh Allen, Yamaguchi hit home runs in the first and second innings as Evansville sprinted to a 5-0 lead. Chris Sweeney slugged his 11th home run of the year in the eighth inning to extend the Otters’ lead to 8-3. Yamaguchi finished with three hits, as did designated hitter Chris Breen.
