AVON, OHIO —Connor Oliver dismantled a two-run homer in the top of the 10th inning as the Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, grabbed a 3-2 win over the Lake Erie Crushers on the road to win the series. Schaumburg scored a run in the top of the first and Lake Erie tied the game with a run in the third. That was all either team could muster as two of the top pitching teams in the league went toe-to-toe into extras for a second consecutive night. Alex Polston drew a two-out walk in front of Oliver, who throttled a 2-2 pitch from Kent Hasler over the wall in right. Aaron Hill homered for Lake Erie in the bottom of the inning, Connor Eller held off the Crushers to notch his league best sixth save.
