MONTREAL NATIVE, FORMER ASTRO JONATHAN LACROIX JOINS CAPITALES

The Quebec Capitales continuing building their roster with the signing of Montreal native Jonathan Lacroix. Lacroix played the past two seasons in the Houston Astros’ organization. Drafted in the 12th round in 2017, Lacroix spent the past two seasons with Houston’s Midwest League affiliate, the Quad Cities River Bandits, posting a .240 batting average in 141 games with nine home runs and 57 RBI. After being released by the Astros last July, Lacroix participated in the end of the season for the Junior Elite League Baseball Quebec and the playoffs with the Orioles in Montreal. It was a homecoming for the native of Montreal. Lacroix played in the entire 2015 and 2016 seasons with the Orioles before playing for the Seminole State College in 2017. He posted gleaming statistics with both organizations. In 124 games (all season and playoffs combined) with the Orioles Montreal, Lacroix posted a .401 batting average,…
