Thursday was highlighted by a pair of doubleheaders and an extra innings win. Read more about all of it here: The Windy City ThunderBolts beat the Florence Y’alls 6-3 thanks to five combined RBIs and seven combined hits for Brynn Martinez and Rob Weissheier. In the first, Weissheier singled home Martinez with a base hit. Martinez then hit an RBI double in the third, Weissheier hit his second RBI single, and Zach Racusin recorded a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0 Bolts. Florence then scored three unanswered runs to trim the lead. In the fourth, Joe Lytle hit an RBI groundout. An inning later, Harrison DiNicola plated two more with a base hit. That was all Florence could muster. Martinez doubled home two more in the sixth to bring the score to 6-3 and that is how it finished.
