Wednesday provided a number of close games across the Frontier League. Read more about each of the eight games that took place here with our nightly recap: The Washington Wild Things and the Lake Erie Crushers split Wednesday’s doubleheader. The Wild Things took the first game 1-0 after a pitcher’s duel. The only run for Washington came in the third inning, when Andrew Sohn singled home Joe Campagna to give the Wild Things the lead for good. Starter Ben Vicini tossed six shutout innings and struck out six, allowing just two hits in the win. Lake Erie starter Jake Pilarski also had a solid outing, allowing just the one run on six hits and two walks in the loss. Game two finished as a 3-2 Crushers win.
