A wild Sunday night saw TWO home run derbies and a late comeback take place! Read more about each game here: The Schaumburg Boomers used a 6-5 home run derby victory to outlast the Evansville Otters after a 3-3 tie. Evansville opened the scoring in the third with a single by Josh Allen and a double by Jeffrey Baez both plating runs. Schaumburg matched those runs with two of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Clint Hardy hit an RBI single and a run scored on a fielder’s choice from Chase Dawson. The Otters regained the lead in the fifth after a Baez RBI single, but in the eighth, the Boomers tied it on an RBI double from Quincy Nieporte to make it 3-3. After a scoreless ninth, the game went to the tenth, where teams again failed to score and set up a home run derby…
