A return to action Tuesday was highlighted by a dominant pitching performance and a doubleheader sweep that included a walk-off win. Read more about the whole night here: Kenny Mathews carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning and helped the Windy City ThunderBolts beat the Florence Y’alls 3-1. Windy City jumped out to an early lead as Dan Robinson plated a run on an RBI groundout to make it 1-0. An RBI double by Florence’s Taylor Bryant got the Y’alls on the board in the sixth and tied the game at 1-1. In the bottom of the sixth, Peyton Isaacson knocked home a run for the ThunderBolts to make it 2-1, and in the seventh, Donivan Williams added an insurance run on an RBI single that made it 3-1.
