Lake Erie Crushers outfielder Steven Kraft and Schaumburg Boomers right-hander Connor Eller win this week’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. These awards are chosen by Pointstreak, who is the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Kraft hit .417 (10-24) with one home run and drove in seven for the week. He added three stolen bases and four walks giving him a 1.066 OPS and 7.0 runs created. He had a big game against the River City Rascals going 3-4 with five RBIs in an 8-1 win on July 27th. The 23-year-old Fair Oaks, Virginia native is in his first season in the Frontier League. Kraft signed with the Crushers after spending 2018 in the Pittsburg Pirates organization. On the season, Kraft is hitting .286 with 31 runs, 55 hits, 22 RBI and 2 home runs.
