A number of close games (and one not so close game) highlighted our Friday night in the Frontier League. Catch up with a quick recap: The Sussex County Miners beat the Tri-City ValleyCats 6-0 in game one of their doubleheader, but game two was postponed due to weather and will be made up in a doubleheader starting at 4:05 p.m. ET Saturday. All six runs were scored in the first three innings. Chuck Taylor’s solo home run gave the Miners a 1-0 lead in the first. An RBI double by Audy Ciriaco and an RBI single by Cito Culver made it 3-0. In the second inning, Martin Figueroa connected on a home run to make it 4-0, and in the third, the Miners scored two more.
