Jackson Sigman Signs With Royals

SAUGET, Ill. — Gateway relief pitcher Jackson Sigman has signed with the Kansas City Royals. Sigman, 22, signed with the Grizzlies on June 18th following his senior season at West Virginia University. Sigman went 6-4 with a 4.94 ERA in his final year as a Mountaineer. During his time with Gateway, Sigman racked up 31 strikeouts through 27.1 innings pitched out of the bullpen. Sigman joins Will LaMarche (San Francisco Giants), Brandon Texiera (Milwaukee Brewers), and Max Bartlett(Kansas City Royals) as the four Grizzlies to be picked up by a major-league organization this season.
