EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Lake Erie Crushers, presented by Mercy, homered three times en route to a 4-3 win over the Evansville Otters on Tuesday ni9ght. The Crushers (13-15) earned their second consecutive road win, while the Otters (13-15) have dropped three of their last four at Bosse Field. The Otters opened the scoring early. With two outs and a runner on third, Alejandro Segovia opened the scoring in the first with a two-run homer to left. Jordan Schultz followed suit for back-to-back home runs and a 3-0 lead. The Crushers finally broke through against starter Max Duval in the fourth inning. Sean Hurley and Cody Lenahan connected for back-to-back dingers of their own, pulling Lake Erie within one. After a scoreless fifth, the Crushers plated another pair of runs in the sixth. Connor Oliver led off with a double, and Brandon Murray cracked the third Lake Erie homer of the night to push the Crushers ahead, 4-3. Evansville threatened with a two-out rally in the ninth, but Dane Phillips bounced into the final out at first to finish the game. Justin Sinibaldi collected the win for the Crushers.
