Gateway’s Molesky and Washington’s Harris Named Pitcher and Player of the Week

SAUGET, Ill. – The 2017 Frontier League regular season comes to a close and Gateway’s Vince Molesky and Washington’s James Harris have been named Week 17 Pitcher and Player of the Week. The honors have been chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Grizzlie ace Vince Molesky wins his third Pitcher of the Week honors this season after two great starts last week. On Tuesday, the Grizzlies traveled to Marion, Illinois to take on the Miners where Vince made his eighteenth start on the season. He was able to nab the 6-3 win after hurling eight innings while only allowing one run (earned), five hits and struck out four. On Sunday, the Grizzlies hosted the 2016 Frontier League Champions and Wild Card winner Evansville Otters in the final game of the regular season. Molesky made Grizzlies history in his final career start when he tied with Scott Patterson for most strikeouts in a game with twelve. The Grizzlies were able to take the win against the Otters 6-3 behind another eight inning outing. The 6’3 righty finished his career in the Frontier League with 4.19 ERA and 18-21 record in…
